With the Clos des Epeneaux in the hands of the Comte Armand since 1826, this estate celebrates a rich and successful history. 2014 was young Beaune native Paul Zinetti’s first vintage at the helm of the 9 hectare domaine, having joined from Comtes Lafon. Here is a winemaker with a golden touch and high aspirations, not least to see the Epeneaux climat awarded grand cru classification. We look forward to seeing how the wines of Comte Armand develop.

A beautiful expression of nutty chardonnay with depth and complexity.
2013 Chassagne-Montrachet, Domaine Bertrand Bachelet
The forgotten terroir for Pinot Noir. This red Chassagne shows structure and deep red flavors. An unusual appellation to discover for red Burgundy.
2014 Aloxe Corton `Les Valozières`, Domaine Gérard Julien et Fils
This 45 year old vineyard from the Cote de Beaune proves delicate and floral. A good way to discover Burgundy
Wines will be paired with nibbles including a delicious cheese & charcuterie selection.

As part of London Burgundy Week 2018 we are delighted to invite you to this unique event, pitting our two Masters of Wine against each other. Each will be championing an appellation, one from the Côte de Nuits and one from the Côte de Beaune. David will put his 20+ years Burgundy buying experience into action to expound the excellence of Gevrey Chambertin. Catherine will be advocating Pommard’s delights, her already extensive knowledge deepened by spending the past two harvests making wine at one of the top domaines in the village.
During the course of the evening these two heavy-weight appellations will be revealed in all their glory. Four pairs of wines from Village to Grand Cru level from eight superb domaines will be tasted alongside a delicious Burgundian dinner created to match the wines.
The evening will finish off with a blind wine to give you the chance to test your new-found knowledge!

Jon Wyand's gorgeous photography from Burgundy and compelling portraits of Burgundian winemakers makes for an incredible backdrop to sip a selection of wines. Chat with Jon Wyand, enjoy nibbles from Cabotte's chef Ed Boarland, and try some Burgundy wines.

With the guidance of Antoine Gouges, guests will taste up to 26 vintages of the grand Domaine of Nuits-Saint-Georges in the private room at Cabotte.
After sampling the younger vintages on arrival, we will explore over 4 courses mostly Les Saint Georges and Clos de Porrets, with a splash of Vaucrains and Pruliers to compare.

London Burgundy Week will come to a close with La Grande Paulée on Friday evening.
In the spirit of the Burgundian Paulée, guests are asked to bring a couple of bottles or a Magnum of Grand Cru and Premier Cru to show and share throughout the evening. Become Burgundian for the night and walk around the tables, pouring your best bottles for equally passionate Burgundy lovers who will return the favour as the evening progresses...
